Are you looking to support unqualified teaching staff in gaining QTS while they continue working in your school?
South West Teacher Training is proud to introduce a new salaried Initial Teacher Training (ITT) pathway with a SEND specialism, launching in September 2025. This innovative route has been developed in close collaboration with leaders in Alternative and Specialist Provision –Thanks to Matthew Bindon, for all his support. Let us help you grow high-quality, qualified SEND practitioners from within your existing teams.
✅ Designed for staff already in post
✅ Strong emphasis on SEND teaching, inclusive education, EHCPs, brain development & more
✅ Available in a range of subject specialisms
✅ Trainees attend online sessions on Tuesday afternoons + in-person subject training on Fridays
✅ Bursaries of up to £29,000 available to support salary costs
✅ £8,000 programme fee (paid by the school)
This programme runs within our well-established and respected ITT offer, ensuring the depth and breadth required for the award of QTS – with a SEND focus at its core.
