As part of our Effective Assessment session this week, our SWTT trainee teachers had the opportunity to learn from a fantastic guest speaker—SWTT alumna Dr.Helen Orbidans Deputy Head Teacher at St. James in Exeter.

Returning for the fourth year, Helen delivered an excellent and updated session on effective assessment. With her science background, she provided expert guidance on ensuring our assessments are both precise and effective across all our subject.

We especially loved the term ‘plausible distractors’ 😂 when designing multiple-choice questions—such a valuable insight!
