Our Trust of Schools

6th Form Day

Had an amazing day at Torquay Girls' Grammar School for our 6th form day.

The day began with a fascinating and inspiring introduction, where we learned the beautiful story behind the school’s success. We heard about the school’s vision for empowering girls, the emphasis on STEM subjects, and how they provide that extra enrichment that makes their approach so special. 💡

A huge shoutout to Headteacher Sarah Forster whose passion and dedication to ensuring the best for every girl was truly inspiring. Her commitment to the success of the students is undeniable. 💪

We also got to hear about the integral role the 6th form girls play in school leadership, from organizing house events to taking on leadership roles. It was great to see how leadership and joy go hand-in-hand! 🙌 Ellie Gale

One of the highlights was hearing about the extended projects, which gave us some great ideas to bring back to our own schools! @Mary Will💭 and @Alister Endersby encouraged us to explore university links for our subjects, setting up visits to help widen the horizons of every child we teach.

And, of course, we wrapped up with the top 5 tips for supporting Year 12s as they transition into 6th form life. Care, joy, and the highest aspirations truly sum up Torquay Girls. ✨ Thanks @Julie Kittow for organising.

Congratulations to the nine girls who’s uni dentistry offers came in as we were touring the school. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Thank you for an unforgettable day!
