Last Friday, I had the chance to see our subject sessions based at Cranbrook Educational Campus in action, covering Science, Music, and Computing. It was fantastic to see how Monday's General Studies session on cognitive load played out across different subjects.

In Science, we explored ways to reduce intrinsic and extraneous cognitive load while building on the germane load. This naturally connects to our work in ITAP2/3, where we're using schemas to help students process and connect knowledge more effectively.

We also had a great time breaking down subject mastery in Music, including the 5 approaches to tackling an 8-mark question.

The energy was incredible, and these Friday sessions are truly cherished by the cohort! 🙌📚🎶
