Admissions

The SWTT Consortium's selection criteria has deliberately been drawn widely because we are more concerned with attracting students with outstanding potential and a passionate commitment to teaching, than any particular set of academic qualifications. For instance, we welcome mature entrants with experience of commerce/industry closely related to their chosen subject area.

Nevertheless, we have several formal requirements. To be eligible for the programme you must:

Selection Process

Selection follows a two stage process. Firstly, we assess your application and your responses to certain questions you are asked to answer.

Then, if you are successful, we will invite you to attend an interview at the Lead School, West Exe Technology College . As part of the interview process, you will be given detailed information about the programme and an opportunity to see the excellent training facilities in the school. You will be required to carry out a short written task to check your written communication skills. Depending on your subject area, you will asked to discuss a portfolio of work demonstrating your subject skills. There will also be an individual interview with the Programme Manager and the Subject Course Tutor, or his assistant from one of the Consortium's partner schools.
